The Kyoto Room

The Kyoto room is our flagship surround sound media room. Our inspiration and name for the room came from our founder Alan’s Japanese heritage. Using our in-house design software, the room was purpose-built from the ground up. We used architectural style James Loudspeakers throughout the room to conceal the locations of the speakers, opening up the space. Our main wall speakers are James Beryllium Series SPL Loudspeakers, powered by NAD master series amplifiers, all backed by Torus Power’s clean power toroidal power supplies. At the system's core is a Steinway Lyngdorf MP-60 2.1 16-channel surround processor. We have three subwoofers in the room, but no one would know, because we used James Power Pipe in-floor subterranean subwoofers to maintain our open decor.

We feature the Sony BRAVIA X92 100" 4K LED TV, which is the largest TV available on the market. Our main source for movies and TV content is Kalaidescape, which gives the best possible picture and sound available.

The entire system is automated with the home automation software Savant, making use of this complex system as easy as the touch of one button. Using our motorized shades, we can transform our brightly lit great room into an intimate media room ready for an epic movie night.

The Redwood Room

The Redwood Room, named after Marin County’s iconic redwoods, is our intimate music-listening room where we showcase the Meridian DSP5200SE in piano black. The Meridians are hand built in the UK and can be customized with any of the RAL Gloss color schemes to match your decor.

We have expertly configured the Sony 85” 85Z9K TV with an integrated system comprising Kaleidescape, Apple TV, and Savant to provide a seamless and enriched entertainment experience. Our Meridian audio system enhances this setup with a pure digital signal path from the source through the processor/amplifier to the speakers. This design minimizes interference from analog cables and eliminates the need for costly interconnect cables, ensuring pristine sound quality.

Additionally, we showcase the NAD M33 streamer and integrated amplifier, which is part of the Master Series featuring hybrid digital amplifiers. This setup is paired with Monitor Audio Gold 100 Bookshelf Speakers, which boast a stunning piano ebony lacquer finish. This combination delivers exceptional audio performance, highlighting the clarity and richness of the sound in a visually striking package.
